Product applications
Want to upgrade your sandwich-panel façade? Not a problem with wall cladding sheets made of steel! FALK manufactures these to suit your project. Create a distinctive façade full of character.
Using sandwich panels for a façade is a very efficient way to construct and insulate a building since they combine several features in a single product. They are quick and lightweight to install, they provide insulation and they provide a solid inner and outer wall.
In keeping with the spirit of the times, we often want to see more variation in the façade than ‘standard’ sandwich panels can offer – which is why sandwich panels are often combined with metal cladding profiles. These profiles are rolled or formed from flat sheets of metal.
Rolled cladding profiles are made from a roll of steel that is passed through a rolling mill. The shape of the roller ultimately determines the shape of the profile. FALK’s range of rolled cladding profiles includes two types of corrugated profiles, a trapezoidal cladding profile and a Rabat cladding profile. Some of these are rolled at our site in Ede and some at our sister company, DELFT Profielen, in Waalwijk.

To create a really striking façade, we recommend using cladding profiles made from flat metal sheets. FALK offers no fewer than 12 types of profiles in its standard range, divided into four families: FALK Cadance, FALK Spike, FALK Pyramid and FALK Block. Each family contains three different types of profile that can be used in combination.
Our design profiles are formed at our forming shops (MMN and Pantos) and are available in all the standard colours in which our sandwich panels are supplied. So you can create a façade with its very own look and feel. When used in combination with our insulated carrier panels, they deliver a timeless, sustainable design that responds to the needs of our times.
Many people choose to finish their buildings with wood – which looks fantastic, but does have its drawbacks. Metal profiles offer a number of advantages over wooden battens. We have put together a list of the main ones:
Sustainable: Metal profiles are resistant to corrosion and rotting, which means they last longer than wooden profiles.
Fireproof: Metal profiles are more fire resistant than wood profiles.
Low maintenance: Metal profiles require less maintenance than wooden profiles and do not need to be painted.
Water resistant: Metal profiles are water resistant and do not need to be treated against moisture.
Consistent quality: Metal profiles have a more consistent quality and uniformity than wooden profiles, which can expand, shrink or crack.
If you still want to go for a wood finish, we stock a range of four beautiful wood-look products. We can also form the profiles of these products, so that you get the beautiful façade design that you want.
Insulated façade panels are the ideal carrier for your favourite accessories. Wood, solar panels, green walls and composite materials can all be mounted on our insulated façade panels, especially when using the appropriate insulated carrier panels. We are happy to advise on the maximum load and load-bearing capacity and on the best way to attach the panels and accessories.
The type of screw you need depends on the application. Always ask the supplier of the accessory what type of screw is best to use. Screws vary greatly in terms of tensile strength. If you are unsure, please contact our technical advisors on +31 (0)318 670 670.
FALK corrugated sheets can be used in a range of colours, sizes and finishes to lend your building the desired appearance. At FALK, we use a variety of high-quality coatings to finish our corrugated sheets. The most commonly used coatings are Tata Steel’s Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® and Colorcoat Prisma®. Thanks to the unique Confidex® warranty provided by Tata Steel, these coatings are guaranteed for up to 40 years! In addition to these coatings, FALK offers a beautiful range of its own coatings for adding the finishing touches to your corrugated sheets.
