FALK insulated roof panels are available with a cutback; this is a standard production option. You can choose the length of the cutback yourself, which generally varies between 25mm and 300mm.

A carrier panel is actually a sandwich panel that is designed to support an accessory. Accessories, such as solar panels, are often mounted on roofs. We therefore distinguish between carrier panels for roofs and carrier panels for façades. View our carrier panels here.

Façade sandwich panels are the ideal carrier for your favourite accessories. Wood, solar panels, green walls and composite materials can all be mounted on our façade sandwich panels, especially when using the appropriate carrier panels. We are happy to advise on the maximum load and load-bearing capacity and on the best way to attach the panels and accessories.

In most circumstances, solar panels can be installed on FALK insulated roof panels, but this will depend on the chosen span of the panels and the substructure. Always seek professional advice in order to avoid any potential problems. Special brackets are available that can be mounted on our sandwich panels. Many of our façade sandwich panels can also be used as roof panels. The FALK 1140 KV PD, FALK 1000 TR PD and FALK 1100 TR3+ PD roof panels are specially designed for flat roofs (a roof pitch between 2 to 4 degrees). The FALK 1000 GL, FALK 1000 TR and FALK 1100 TR3+ are for pitched roofs. You can easily continue these from your façade to your roof, creating a unique design.

The type of screw you need depends on the application. Always ask the supplier of the accessory what type of screw is best to use. Screws vary greatly in terms of tensile strength. If you are unsure, please contact our technical advisors on +31 (0)318 670 670.

FALK is the first manufacturer in the world to offer a circular sandwich panel. We only have one planet, so we need to use its natural resources wisely. A choice for a FALK insulated roof panel with CradleCore® insulation is a choice for recycling. CradleCore® is a guarantee that we will recycle those panels in the future. FALK sandwich panels are available in almost every colour imaginable. In most cases, the exterior skin is finished with a high-quality coating manufactured by Tata Steel (Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® or Colorcoat Prisma®); the standard finish for the interior skin is FALK Off-White. FALK profiled sheets can be used in a range of colours, sizes and finishes to lend your building the desired appearance. At FALK, we use a variety of high-quality coatings to finish our profiled sheets. The most commonly used coatings are Tata Steel’s Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® and Colorcoat Prisma®. Thanks to the unique Confidex® warranty provided by Tata Steel, these coatings are guaranteed for up to 40 years! In addition to these coatings, FALK offers a beautiful range of its own coatings for adding the finishing touches to your profiled sheets.

"The standard interior coating for flat roof panels is FALK Off-White. As the panels are manufactured at FALK, you can choose from a wide range of coatings and colours. A popular alternative to FALK Off-White is FALK Reflective White, a reflective traffic white coating that helps save energy. This coating reflects up to 85% of light, so light can be used intelligently in the building: fewer light sources are needed than with a normal coating, which reduces energy costs and cuts down on carbon emissions. For a more industrial look, you can also go for a darker coating. For example, a FALK Black Matt coating was chosen for this shed. This gives the building a completely different character.

With a FALK flat roof panel, you can seal and insulate 25m2 of roof in a single crane operation. Simply apply a light-coloured EPDM or PVC membrane and you have a wind and watertight flat roof. A traditional roofing system often consists of four or more layers.
