The FALK Professional Engineer manages all aspects related to product and application fit as well as ensuring FALK Panel Wall & Roofing products meet published project specifications across various vertical markets.
This role will work in a fast-paced teaming environment to service day-to-day inquiries from the sales team and internal staff, and creates the overall programming for FALK Panel’s engineering requirements as it relates to testing and code compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive Technical communications to Architects, Specifiers, General Contractors, Installation Contractors, and Project Owners regarding implementation of FALK Panel products.
- This role will own Product Library using Tekla, BIM, and Revit.
- This role will own all product testing, certification, and technical data.
- This role with be the liaison between Operations and Sales to determine product offering specifications.
- Perform preliminary engineering analysis of panels including structural (wind load, seismic, anchoring, deflections, etc.), environmental (thermal, moisture, etc.), and other application requirements.
- Analyze, and communicate principles of building envelope science (i.e. vapor, moisture, thermal, air movement, rain-screen concepts, etc.) and ability to communicate these principles to other parties.
- Understand and communicate North American building regulations including structural codes, energy codes, testing, and certification standards.
- Assures building’s structural integrity and safety.
- Clearly communicate with FALK Sales, Marketing, and Operations departments regarding the proper use and deployment of all FALK product offerings while being a technical liaison internally and externally.
- Collaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Develop/modify installation details for non-standard conditions.
- Update and maintain product specifications as necessary.
- Develop standardization and protocol for obtaining sealed and stamped drawings.
- Design and assist with product testing (in-house and laboratory) as required.
- Lead R&D with product development, testing, and certification requirements.
- Communicate regularly with all internal departments as necessary.
- Assist with preparation of project submittals.
- Participate in sales calls and job site visits as required.
