Light transmittance of up to 74%
The polycarbonate rooflight has a trapezoidal five-crown profile on the exterior skin. This profile is a perfect match for the FALK 1000 TR sandwich panels. These rooflights have a minimum length of 500mm and a maximum working length of 7500mm.
Trapezoidal rooflight panel
The rooflight panels with trapezoidal profile can be used in combination, but also distributed across the roof.
When several rooflights, or rooflight panels, are combined, this is known as a skylight. A single panel on its own can really brighten up a building, not to mention several panels installed together. The important thing here is always to find the right balance between insulation and light: the insulation value of a rooflight is lower than that of a sandwich panel.
Natural daylight
Natural daylight is essential for both people and animals. A rooflight is available in two colours, clear and opal. The opal version has a milky colour and a light transmittance of 40%, while the clear version is transparent and has a light transmittance of 74%. Both versions contribute to a healthy living environment, as natural daylight helps to maintain a healthy biological rhythm.
Skylight or light ridge
A skylight is a continuous row of light panels. It allows a tremendous amount of light into a building, contributing to a pleasant indoor environment. A light ridge works on the same principle, but then at the ridge of the roof. This is achieved using transparent ridge pieces.
